Physics Project Competition Empowered Students to Develop Innovative Solutions for Economic Growth

The Department of Physics, Mathematics and Statistics, organized “Physics Project Competition” to train the young minds to think about minimizing the export bill of country through local development of innovative daily use products. Students of the 1st semester from BSCS, BSAI, BSSE, BSIT, BSDS, BSCyb Sec actively participated in the competition and developed many gadgets of daily use at economical prices.

Project competition was aimed to make undergraduate students improve their presentation and communication skills, to express their ideas and build confidence. Worthy Prof Dr Majid Hussain, Dean, Information Technology, and Dr Aaqib Majeed, Head/Associate Professor from Department of Mathematics inaugurated the event and evaluated the best projects in this competition. They made evaluation of students’ projects on the basis of innovation, execution, prototype developed, feasibility and general understanding of the field. Honorable Dean, Prof Dr Majid Hussain appreciated the efforts of young students who came along with innovative projects, that were economical and could be projected to large scale for development of country, and the certificates were distributed among the winners of the Project competition.Worthy Dean congratulated Dr Bushra Sana Idrees and Ms Ayesha Shoukat from Department of Physics on organizing this event successfully.
