Prior to leading TUF, Dr Malik served in key leadership positions at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), including Director of the Institute of Horticultural Sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture. He is globally recognized for bridging the gap between academia and industry—most notably introducing modern agricultural technologies and establishing sustainable value chains in Pakistan.
