INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS / OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS

As a part of open-door Policy and moto ‘education for all’ as well as aim to assist foreign students with educational aspirations in Pakistan, The University of Faisalabad, offers admission to its under-andpostgraduate programs. The list of programs and eligibility criteria can be perused from University website www.tuf.edu.pk. It is clarified that at Health Sciences wing of the University only female students can be accommodated whereas co-education facilities are available only at Engineering Wing.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. To encourage expatriate Pakistanis having dual nationality to stay connected with their mother country, and foreign nationals to learn about Pakistani culture and society.
  2. To encourage knowledge-sharing with friendly fellow developing countries
  3. To improve relationships with the international community and increase the Pakistani foreign reserves

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  1. The applicant must possess a foreign nationality at the time of application and admission.
  2. The applicant must have passed twelve (12) years schooling for admission to undergraduate and sixteen (16) years education for postgraduate programs in the relevant field of study. The detail of offered programs and eligibility criteria can be perused from Admission Policy available on University website.

HOW TO APPLY:

The foreign nationals may submit their applications online at University website https://admission.tuf.edu.pk along with scanned copies of the following documents. The incomplete application shall not be considered for admission: -

  1. English version of certificates/Marks Sheet/degree obtained from home country concerned.
  2. Equivalence Certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) Islamabad in the case of 12 years schooling and sixteen (16) years education in the relevant field of study from Higher Education Commission, Islamabad for postgraduate programs.
    However, in case the applicant has not obtained the requisite Equivalence certificate at the time of applying, then s/he is required to submit the same within sixty (60) days from provisional admission, failing which provisional admission shall stand cancelled without any prior notice.
  3. Recent passport size Photographs with blue background.
  4. Nomination letter or original NOC of concerned Embassy in Pakistan.
  5. Copy of the first three pages of the Passport and the page showing the entry in Pakistan
  6. Medical fitness certificate issued by any registered medical practitioner indicating the purpose of ‘admission in Pakistan’ duly countersigned by the Embassy of Pakistan in the home country.
  7. Copy of ‘Student Information Sheet’ duly complete in all respect, as per specimen available from University admission website as well as website of Higher Education Commission www.hec.gov.pk.
  8. Application form (Student visa form).

PROCEDURE OF ADMISSION:

The Higher Education Commission Islamabad and The University of Faisalabad, also aims to facilitate foreign students with all administrative aspects of their application and study in Pakistan including applying, obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC), and securing a visa. Please note the following instructions/steps to apply to professional programs as foreign national: -

  1. After determining preliminary eligibility, the University will inform the concerned applicant for provisional admission, its terms and conditions and advice to pay dues in confirmation of admission offer.
  2. After receipt of dues, the ‘Student Information Sheet’, visa application form and provisional admission confirmation, will be forwarded to the Higher Education Commission Pakistan for processing of ‘student visa’ after security clearance through the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan.
  3. Since the above process will takes time, therefore if any applicant desire to visit Pakistan to pursue his request, he could do so on valid ‘visit visa’.

VISA RENEWAL:

After joining studies, the University of Faisalabad bears the responsibility of:

  1. Verifying the Visa Extension Form
  2. Issuing a bonafide student Certificate
  3. Recommending whether or not to extend the visa

LANGUAGE FACILITATION:

In the light of HEC instructions, the TUF will provide basic English learning classes, if required, to non-English spoken students to facilitate them for continue their studies in Pakistan.

TUF will provide facilities to international students within TUF premises including:

  1. Well housed cafeteria
  2. Bank
  3. Stationary shop
  4. Hostel accommodation
  5. Medical facility
  6. Gymnasium and sports courts
  7. Wi-Fi facility
