Good Health and Well-being
As part of the Staff Development Program series, the first session under the theme “Mental Health Awareness and Workplace Well-Being for Administrative Staff” focused on stress management. The ice-breaking session was facilitated by Dr. Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, TUF, and Dr. Nabeela Rasheed, Clinical Psychologist.
The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of mental health in the workplace and promote a supportive, healthy work environment. Key topics included mental health concepts, identifying workplace stressors and early warning signs of burnout, reducing stigma associated with mental health issues, and understanding the importance of timely support.
To reinforce learning, participants engaged in live demonstrations and practical activities, including exercises to identify peak stress periods and assessment proformas for stress indicators. Interactive discussions encouraged open dialogue, enabling participants to apply stress management strategies and deepen their understanding of workplace well-being.
