Iqbal's Legacy lives on: TUF paid tribute to the visionary poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA)

An eventful celebration on Iqbal Day, with eight student societies collaborating to honor the legacy of Allama Iqbal (R.A) through a series of activities. The event included debate competitions, musical performances, cosplays, and poetry recitals of "Shikwa" & "Jawab-e-Shikwa". A documentary and exhibition were also held to showcase Iqbal's impact on literature and philosophy.

The Chief Guest, Prof Dr Zafar Ali Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor of Faisalabad Medical University, delivered an inspiring keynote address. He highlighted Iqbal’s visionary concept of self-realization, which urges individuals to discover their potential and contribute meaningfully to society. A thought-provoking panel discussion moderated by Dr Same Ur Rehman, Dean, Faculty of Law at TUF, was the highlight of the event. Renowned scholars and panelists explored the depth of Iqbal’s poetry and philosophy, emphasizing its relevance in contemporary times.

2nd Annual Poetry Event at TUF

TUF Literary Society, in collaboration with Gosha-e-Zoq-o-Adab, successfully hosted its 2nd Annual Poetry Event, celebrating the enduring legacy of Allama Muhammad Iqbal (R.A), the "Poet of the East", on Iqbal Day, this memorable occasion brought together over 16 renowned poets who captivated the audience with their heartfelt expressions and profound verses, turning the gathering into a soul-stirring experience. The event was graced by the presence of Mr Muhammad Muneeb Iqbal, the grandson of Allama Muhammad Iqbal (R.A).

As the chief guest, he eloquently shed light on his grandfather’s immense contributions to literature, philosophy, and politics. Mr Muneeb Iqbal emphasized that Allama Iqbal’s vision for self-realization, unity, and social justice remains an eternal source of inspiration. Through recitation of Allama Iqbal’s poetry, he highlighted the themes of courage, intellect, and resilience that continue to guide humanity toward a better future. The success of the event was made possible through the meticulous planning and dedication of the chief organizer, Dr Same Ur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Law, TUF. His vision, coordination, and unwavering commitment ensured that every detail of the event surpassed expectations.
