The house job is offered for a period of three months to the students of The University of Faisalabad (TUF) who had completed their final year of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program (DPT). During the house job, the students will get practical training at Madinah Teaching Hospital (MTH) under the guidance of experienced doctors and therapists to gain hands-on experience in their field and enhance their skills and knowledge. This initiative was taken to bridge the gap between students for their future careers in the field of physical therapy. students will get exposure to various aspects of clinical practice, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and execution, and documentation. The students will also maintain their reflective diary on a daily basis and by the end of the term Director of Allied Health Sciences of TUF will test their knowledge to award them with certificates.
The program received positive feedback from both the students and the hospital management. The students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-life setting and gain valuable experience. The success of this initiative has encouraged the Placement Bureau to continue its efforts to create more opportunities for practical training and work experience for the university's students. The bureau aims to establish more collaborations with hospitals and other health care organizations to provide students with the exposure and experience they need to succeed in their chosen careers.
