Department of Dental Technology, The University of Faisalabad visited the Dar Prosthodontic lab (Lahore) on March 08, 2024. Students of BS Dental Technology observed the advanced techniques in Dentistry.
Interactive sessions were conducted when students engaged in discussions with prosthodontists and technicians regarding the challenges and innovations in the field of dental prosthetics. This embarking study tour in a CAD/CAM dentistry lab provided an invaluable opportunity to immerse themselves in the cutting-edge technologies and practices shaping modern dental care. Through hands-on experience and expert guidance, students gained a comprehensive understanding of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing processes tailored to dentistry. This immersive learning environment not only enhanced technical proficiency but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the intersection of technology and dental healthcare, paving the way for innovative solutions and improved patient outcomes in the field.
This educational tour to the prosthodontic lab provided the students of the dental technology department with hands-on learning experiences. They observed the creation of dental prostheses to gain practical skills that are essential for their future careers. Seeing the process of designing, fabricating, and fitting dental prosthetics firsthand helped the students to understand the intricacies involved in creating these devices.

Students got the opportunity to learn about ongoing research projects. Students gained insights into the rigorous quality assurance measures implemented at the lab to ensure the precision and longevity of dental prostheses. They learned about material selection, accuracy testing, and patient-specific customization.
