Good Health and Well-being
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about Down Syndrome, promote inclusion, and foster understanding and empathy toward individuals with this condition. It provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by individuals with Down Syndrome and highlighted the importance of supportive interventions and community awareness. The event began with a soulful recitation, followed by an interactive awareness session led by Mr. Ali Shahid Pansota (Manager Operations, KDSP) and Ms. Aiman Rashid Rana (Assistant Manager, KDSP).
Both speakers shared informative presentations emphasizing the importance of early intervention, family support, and community inclusion in improving the quality of life for individuals with Down Syndrome. The session actively engaged students and faculty, creating an environment of learning, empathy, and social awareness. The seminar served as an enlightening experience that deepened understanding, encouraged inclusion, and inspired participants to advocate for individuals with Down Syndrome. It strengthened collaboration between the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and KDSP, promoting a more compassionate and socially responsible community. The event directly supported the (SDGs): Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
