The University of Faisalabad signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ICMA) of Pakistan. The ceremony held at Serena Hotel Faisalabad on December 21, 2021.  Mr Zia ul Mustafa Awan, President ICMA Pakistan and Dr Sohail Jabbar, Director ORIC from The University of Faisalabad signed the agreement.   The purpose of this MoU is to develop academic and educational cooperation on the basis of equality and reciprocity and to promote relations and mutual understanding between both institutions. Both the institutions agreed to cooperate in their mutual interest for a range of higher education, research & development activities particularly in Accounting, Finance and Management Studies programs. Both institutions will jointly work on alignment of curriculum of their offered programs, joint conferences, workshops, management trainee programs, internship opportunities, on-campus job and career fairs and placement of their graduates in industry and academia.  TUF delegate including Dr Arshia Hashmi, Head Department of Management Studies, Dr Amna Javed, Manager International Linkages, Dr Imran Ahmed Shahzad, Manager BIC and Mr Omer Farooq Qureshi, Manager Placement Bureau held the meeting with Mr Abdul Shakoor, Chairman FBC, Mr Tanveer Sajid Bajwa, Chairman Research & Publication and Mr Shahid Irshad, Chairman CPD, FBC from ICMA and also witnessed the ceremony. Management of TUF and ICMA declared this agreement very beneficial for students as well as faculty members of both the institutions.

 

Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI)

In the spirit of scholarly exchange towards the promotion of National Interest, The University of Faisalabad  and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Karachi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 13, 2021. The agreement was signed by Prof (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman, Rector TUF and Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo, President FPCCI.  According to this MoU TUF and FPCCI mutually agreed upon the principles to develop intellectual relations, academic and professional cooperation to promote creation, development, implementation, transfer and export of indigenous industrial knowledge, technologies and skills through applied academics research in order to benefit national industry through import substitution, exports value-addition leading to strengthening national economy. FPCCI will effectively and professionally support TUF in its efforts to establish academic and research system for addressing the challenges of national industry in terms of existing, emerging and future technologies. FPCCI will also help the TUF in placement of its internees in various industries. TUF and FPCCI will jointly organize seminars, workshops, and training sessions. Mr Noman Zahid and Mr Khalid Amin Sheikh, will act as the Focal Persons of TUF and FPCCI respectively for the purpose of necessary coordination and implementation of this MoU.

University of Health Sciences, Lahore

The University of Faisalabad signed Memorandum of Understanding with University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore. This memorandum aimed at promoting higher education and research & development particularly in the field of health sciences. H.E Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar Governor of the Punjab/Patron of the University was the chief guest of ceremony held in Health Sciences wing of TUF on March 20, 2019. Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Pro Rector, TUF and Prof Dr Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor, UHS signed the agreement in the presence of H.E Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, Mian Muhammad Hanif (SI), Patron-in-Chief TUF, Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman Board of Governors, TUF, Dr Asad Zaheer, Registrar, UHS and other senior faculty  members.

This agreement will develop links in the areas of:
a) Learning and teaching including the development of a programme leading to an award.

b) Exchange of students for a given period through a recognized exchange programme.
c) Exchange of members of the universities.
d) Exchange of documentation and research material.
e) Co-ordination through their respective offices in joint or collaborative research projects.
Governor Punjab H.E Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar in his address appreciated the managements of TUF and UHS for this move for the cause of quality education.

Gift University, Gujranwala

The University of Faisalabad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gift University
Gujranwala. During the ceremony held in the conference room of Health Sciences Wing, Prof Dr Abdul
Karim Baloch, Pro Rector TUF and Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Tahir, Rector Gift University signed a MoU
aimed at strengthening bonds between the two Universities in different academic disciplines
particularly in research and development. Ms Zia Batool, Director General, Quality Assurance
Department, Higher Education Commission (HEC) was also present on the occasion. She applauded the
bilateral relation between private sector universities to promote the standard of higher education in the
country.

Intellectual Property Association of Pakistan

Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), TUF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intellectual Property Association Pakistan (IPAP). The signing ceremony
took place at Engineering Wing, TUF on May 9, 2019. Prof Dr Najeeb Haider, Director ORIC , TUF and Dr Zain-ul-Aabideen Director Operations, Intellectual Property Association Pakistan signed this
agreement. The MoU established guidelines among TUF and IPAP to provide capacity building
programs & relevant material to the faculty of TUF on Intellectual Property Rights. Moreover, IPAP committed to unfold various placement, internship and mentoring opportunities for TUF students. Both parties agreed to promote and inculcate entrepreneurship in the region.  Moreover, to strengthen their relation, it was decided that IPAP will closely work with Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) and Business Incubation Centre (BIC) within the sphere of TUF.
