To mark World Food Day under the theme “Right to Foods for a Better Life and a Better Future”, The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organized an impactful event aimed to raise awareness about global hunger, food security, and safety.
The event was graced by Chief Guest, Mr Qaiser Javed, Additional Director Operations, Punjab Food Authority, Faisalabad, who highlighted the critical importance of food safety in building a healthier future. His address underscored the need for community collaboration to achieve sustainable food security.
This initiative significantly contributed to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and 4 (Quality Education), inspiring collective efforts toward ensuring equitable access to safe and nutritious food for all.
Through this celebration, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a hunger-free world and promoting sustainable practices for better nutrition and food security.
