World Diabetes Day

World Diabetes Day is celebrated each year on 14th of November worldwide One in ten (10.5%) adults around the world are currently living with diabetes. The total number is predicted to rise to 643 million (11.3%) by 2030 and to 783 million (12.2%) by 2045.Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Health Sciences Wings, The University of Faisalabad celebrated this day under the theme “Education to Protect Tomorrow”

The seminar was quite informative and eye opening for the students of nutrition. Professor Doctor Mirza Akmal Sharif, Head of Medicine Department, Madina Teaching Hospital was invited as a Guest Speaker who phenomenally and amazingly shared his valuable knowledge and views about the current situation of Diabetes in Pakistan.
