Workshop on The Wound Care 101: Basics and Beyond

The Wound Care 101: Basics and Beyond workshop, held on October 8, 2024, at TUF Saleem Campus, was organized by the Society for Skincare and facilitated by Dr Hamza, Chief Operating Officer, Debra Pakistan and Medical Officer ICU & CCU at Mujahid Heart Center. It aimed to enhance healthcare professionals’ skills in wound management, covering both fundamental and advanced concepts. The workshop targeted students of Dermal Technology, Nursing and medical health care providers, focusing on wound healing processes, types of wounds, assessment techniques, and modern wound care products.

Participants learned various techniques, including wound assessment, dressing application, and debridement, which helped solidify their learning. Overall, the workshop was well-received, participants appreciated the comprehensive content, with expressing interest in future sessions focusing on chronic wounds and advanced technologies. The workshop successfully equipped healthcare professionals with essential wound care knowledge and skills to improve patient outcomes. Certificates were awarded to the participants.
