A workshop was coordinated by Dr Nimra Gul for BS Optometry Semester 10 students focused on Glaucoma Assessment and Management on 9 May, 2024. Professor Dr Amir Shahzad, a distinguished ophthalmologist, shared his extensive expertise, offering invaluable insights into the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. The workshop included hands-on practice sessions covering Applanation Tonometry and Gonioscopy, enhancing the students’ learning experience significantly.
What distinguished this workshop was Professor Dr Amir Shahzad’s recognition of optometrists as essential contributors to eye care. His appreciation for the optometry profession resonated deeply with our students, leaving a profound impression. Students gained valuable insights into cutting-edge techniques for the assessment and management of glaucoma.
