A highly interactive and insightful workshop on "Applied Statistics for Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs)" organized by the department of Rehabilitation Sciences was led by the distinguished guest speaker, Dr Danish Hassan, who brought his expertise to guide participants through essential statistical techniques used in evidence-based research. The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, particularly in health and social science research. A key component of the workshop was the hands-on training with SPSS, one of the most widely used software tools for statistical analysis.
The session included a comprehensive introduction to RCT design and its importance in research, execution, and interpretation of inferential statistical tests using real-world datasets. An interactive Q&A segment, enabling students to solve real-data problems with expert guidance. Participants gained not only conceptual clarity but also enhanced their academic and analytical skillsets through real-time application of statistical tools. The session equipped them with practical insights crucial for conducting high-quality research in their respective fields.
