Integration of Digital Dentistry in Oral Health Promotion

The Department of Dental Sciences hosted a seminar on “Integration of Digital Dentistry in Oral Health Promotion” to enhance the digital skills of BS Dental Technology and Dental Hygiene students.

Dr. Ateeq-ur-Rehman demonstrated intraoral scanning techniques and discussed their clinical applications in prosthodontics, orthodontics, implants, and digital smile design. Dr. Hina Barkaat highlighted the role of dental auxiliaries in digital workflows, including record management and patient communication.

Students actively engaged, learning about digital tools, software, and career opportunities in digital dentistry. The seminar reinforced the importance of modern technology in oral health promotion and supported UN Sustainable Development Goals for health, education, and innovation.
