Be Aware, Be Prepared, Be Safe - The Seminar and Mock Drill on Emergency Awareness

The Seminar and Mock Drill on Emergency Awareness under the theme “Be Aware, Be Prepared, Be Safe” was conducted by CCA, The University of Faisalabad, with remarkable success, reflecting a strong commitment to safety, preparedness, and coordinated response.

The session was honored by the presence of distinguished representatives from various departments, including ASI Muhammad Afzal from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Chief Instructor Muhammad Shakoor from the Department of Civil Defense, Muhammad Shakeel from Rescue 1122, Qaiser Javed Gill from the Special Branch, Inspector Imran Javed Basra from the Police Department, and Head Constable Arslan from the Elite Force.

A highly impactful and realistic mock drill was carried out in which the Department of Civil Defense provided a practical demonstration on the correct use of fire extinguishers and essential emergency response techniques. Furthermore, a real-life scenario was portrayed involving a simulated terrorist attack on the university premises, followed by a timely and coordinated rescue operation by law enforcement agencies. This exercise effectively highlighted the importance of awareness, preparedness, and inter-departmental collaboration during critical situations.

The seminar proved to be an enlightening and empowering experience, equipping participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to respond calmly and responsibly in emergency situations. Such initiatives play a vital role in fostering a safer and more resilient community.
