University of Health Sciences Lahore has launched an integrated modular curriculum for its affiliated and constituent medical colleges. Training workshops are being held throughout Punjab for this project.
In this regard, a training workshop for all colleges was conducted at University Medical and Dental College Faisalabad, participated by Principals, Vice Principals and Professors. The session was started with video link address by Prof Dr Ahsan Waheed Rathore, VC UHS who lauded the efforts of UMDC. Prof Dr Faisal Bilal Lodhi, Principal Punjab Medical College was the guest of honour who lauded the efforts of UHS and also gave his take on integration.
Prof Dr Aamir Ali Choudhary, Principal UMDC warmly welcomed all the participants. Dr Komal Atta and Dr Noor i Kiran Haris facilitated the workshop being the members of the UHS working group. The new curriculum boasts of many features such as clinical training from 1st year, focus on teachings of Holy Quran, IT and an independent module for professionalism, entrepreneurship and leadership skills.
