TUF’s Social Entrepreneurship & HULT Prize 2024 – A Gateway to Opportunities

TUF again won with its amazing entrepreneurial spirit, bringing opportunism for TUFIANs. In Social Entrepreneurship 2024, HULT Prize certificates were provided to the students to enable them to compete on intentional levels and win 1 million dollars. During the event held in Amin Campus on 27th February, the young graduates showcased their innovative startup ideas spanning various niches.

The event featured an array of dynamic teams, each with their unique vision and initiative. Among the standout team names were Synergy, CodeSpark, Decentralized Rental System, Techvista Innovators, and EmergTech, to name a few. These teams presented ideas ranging from technological innovations to advancements in healthcare and beyond, demonstrating the diverse talent pool and entrepreneurial potential at TUF.

 

A distinguished panel of judges, including Mr Ali Imran Baig, International Trainer in NLP, Mr Izhar Hashmi, Director of Punjab Welfare Association for Disabled, Mr Irtaza Haider, Software Engineer at Google, Mr Umer Chattha, CEO of Code Ghost, Ms Maryam Dean from the IT Department of GC University, and representatives from the NIC Delegation, lent their expertise to evaluate the projects and select the winners.

The discussion delved into the challenges and opportunities in the field of social entrepreneurship, providing valuable insights for aspiring entrepreneurs, who also asked questions at the end. Amidst the engaging discussions, the winning team emerged victorious, earning a cash prize of 10,000 PKR. The runner-up team was also recognized with a cash prize of 5,000 PKR.

 

They also coveted the opportunity to compete at the prestigious HULT Prize 2024, where they stand to win a staggering 1 million dollars. The recognition and support offered at this event serve as a springboard for these budding entrepreneurs to further develop and scale their ventures. The event was hailed as a resounding success, not only for the winners but for all participants who showcased their ingenuity and entrepreneurial zeal.
