The University of Faisalabad signed a letter of intent with Jiangsu Food & Pharmaceutical Science College, China to promote academic activities in Food and Nutritional Sciences. This collaboration is formulated with help of ICCCM Malaysia. Dr Jia Shaoqian, Vice President Jiangsu Foods and Prof (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Khaleeq ur Rahman, Rector TUF signed the cooperation agreement as representatives of the two institutions. Mr Dato Siow Chen Pin, Chief Adviser ICCCM was also part of this virtual signing ceremony, while Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar TUF, Dr Amna Javed, Head Department of Nutrition & Dietetics along with other representatives of TUF attended the ceremony. Both institutions have taken the first step in an active partnership, and they will endeavor to carry out programs for mutual benefit on academic collaboration through the exchange of students, faculties, and staff, and joint programs in Food and Nutritional Sciences. Various new courses on food analysis will also be launched in TUF.
In his address, Dr Jia Shaoqian said that by this agreement with TUF, Jiangsu college will establish vocational training programs in Pakistan which will help many students and communities. He wished to have a long-lasting partnership with TUF. Prof Dr Khaleeq ur Rahman appreciated the role of ICCCM for making this collaboration a reality. He said that this agreement will open new horizons of opportunities for students. Mr Dato Sio Chen Pin congratulated both institutions and said that all of us are set to move forward in the right direction for excellent sharing of academic and technological services.
