In a high-level collaborative effort to address the escalating air pollution crisis, WWF-Pakistan, in partnership with the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) and the University of Punjab, hosted a stakeholder consultation titled "EPIC Air Quality: Data-Driven Skies" at the West Inn Hotel.
Dr Shaista Shafiq, Head, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, TUF, was invited as a distinguished academician and a stakeholder in monitoring Air Quality in Faisalabad. Representing both the academic faculty and the TUF Environmental Society, Dr Shaista emphasized the urgent need for a multidisciplinary approach to environmental health.
The forum brought together environmental experts, policymakers, and academics to review critical PM_2.5 data recorded in Faisalabad between November 2025 and March 2026. The session aimed to bridge the gap between scientific research and actionable policy frameworks to improve the city's ambient air quality.
