TUF earned acclaim during Turkish Consul General Mr Durmus Bastag's Visit

The University of Faisalabad Alpha Team, played a pivotal role in providing aid to the earthquake-affected individuals in Turkiye last year. Mr Durmus Bastug, Consul General of Turkiye expressed his appreciation for the University's dedicated efforts during his visit on 23 rd January.

During the University tour, Mr Durmus Bastug and Mr Nurettin Demir, Commercial Attaché engaged in discussions with the University's leadership, including Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman Board of Governors, Ms Zahida Maqbool Registrar, and also witnessed the institution's infrastructure and facilities.

Ms Zahida Maqbool presented a detailed overview of the services rendered by the University, showcasing various projects, including the University, University Medical and Dental College, Madina Teaching Hospital, and initiatives under auspices of Madina Foundation and also highlighted its academic achievements, global collaborations, and commitment to excellence.

Mr Durmus Bastug praised exemplary services in the health and education sectors rendered by the Madina Foundation. He commended the ALPHA TUF Team’s dedication to assisting Turkish brethren affected by the earthquake. Mr Durmus Bastug stated, " Alpha TUF Team, under the guidance of the Mr Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman BOG, provided commendable services to the earthquake- affected Turkish brothers last year. We are profoundly grateful for the extensive support from the entire University community." Emphasizing the importance of education for national development, Mr Bastug highlighted The University of Faisalabad's role in promoting education and women's empowerment. He applauded the University's commitment to maintaining high educational standards and its global collaborations with renowned Turkish universities. Mr Bastug enlightened deep interest in fostering cooperation of leading Turkish universities with TUF to enhance relationships between the two Islamic countries.

Later, the Turkish delegation planted a sapling as a part of the University's Go Green Campaign, symbolizing the commitment to environmental sustainability which also symbolizes the growing bond between the Turkish Consulate and the University of Faisalabad. This collaborative effort between the University of Faisalabad and the Turkish Consulate signifies a stronger bond, reinforcing the shared commitment to humanitarian causes and educational excellence.
