TUF Commemorates 78th Independence Day and Maarka-e-Haq with Patriotic Celebrations

The University of Faisalabad marked Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and Maarka-e-Haq with great enthusiasm and patriotic zeal. The celebrations began with a flag-hoisting ceremony, where the national anthem echoed across the campus, symbolizing unity and devotion to the homeland. The university officials, faculty members, and students gathered to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes. Prof Dr Aman Ullah Malik, Rector, also graced the occasion, adding to the spirit and significance of the event. In his address, he paid tribute to the unwavering sacrifices of our ancestors and urged the youth to uphold the values of integrity, unity, and service to the nation.

The celebration continued with a series of cultural and artistic performances that captured the essence of independence. The event was enriched with performances by students, featuring heartfelt national songs, soulful naghmas, captivating monologues, and powerful tableaus presented by the Dramatic Society. Students presented motivational speeches highlighting the true essence of independence, lessons from Maarka-e-Haq, and the importance of unity, self-accountability, and resilience.

 

In the spirit of healthy competition and national unity, a series of sports events were organized. Students participated in friendly matches and contests, including cricket, athletics, and tennis, which promoted teamwork, discipline, and the spirit of independence. The sports segment added an energetic and vibrant touch to the celebrations, engaging participants and spectators alike in the joy of the occasion.
