The University of Faisalabad's 10th Convocation Celebrates Academic Brilliance

The University of Faisalabad proudly celebrated its 10th Convocation, a momentous occasion that not only marked the academic accomplishments of 1701 students but also commemorated 21 years of the institution's commitment to excellence in education. The ceremony, held at the university arena, was graced by distinguished dignitaries, faculty, and the proud families of the graduates.

The convocation was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Nominee of Governor Punjab for TUF Convocation Mian Muhammad Hanif (SI), Patron in Chief, Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman BOG, Dr Muhammad Hamza Amin, Vice Chairman BOG, Prof Dr Syed Amir Gilani, Acting Rector, Dr Aman Ullah Khan, Director ORIC, Deans, faculty members and management also graced the occasion.

The high point of the convocation was the recognition of exceptional students, with 20 receiving gold medals, 48 with silver, and 20 with bronze. In addition, 15 PhD students were acknowledged for their contributions, representing diverse disciplines including 1198 from the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, 223 from Management Studies, Arts and Social Sciences, 143 from Information Technology, and 137 from Engineering & Technology.

The ceremonial procession, led by Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar, set the tone for an event that showcased the university's dedication to nurturing talent and fostering an environment of academic brilliance.

Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, shared heartfelt congratulations with the graduates, reflecting on the institution's transformative journey. "Today is the day when the dreams of my grandfather for this institution have been fulfilled, Alhamdulillah," he remarked. Addressing the graduates, he emphasized their responsibility to their professions and homeland, urging loyalty and commitment to addressing challenges faced by the Muslims globally.

While sharing the progress of university he said, TUF has completed more than two decades of excellence, achieving global rankings in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, UI Green Metric, and QS World University Rankings. My sincere appreciation goes to the faculty and management for their relentless efforts in achieving these milestones, he added.

Mr Haider also encouraged graduates to embrace new technology, underscoring the importance of staying updated and utilizing artificial intelligence in a productive manner.

Earlier, Prof Dr Syed Amir Gilani, in his address, underscored the profound significance of the convocation. He highlighted the university's unwavering commitment to meeting the rigorous standards set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and congratulated the graduates for their outstanding achievements. He said, ’Today you will achieve one stage of life and this stage is the beginning of a new era of your life and the knowledgeable skills you have will help you to become for the next generation’.

In the closing note, Dr Hamza Amin congratulated graduates and encouraged them to support Palestinian Muslims in difficult times. He appreciated the efforts of parents and said, ‘special thanks to all the parents, your unwavering support and sacrifices play a significant role in shaping the journey of these individuals

The campus buzzed with anticipation as the incoming students gathered to embark on their highereducation voyage. The atmosphere was enthusiastic as the university administration, faculty members,and students joined hands to make this day a memorable and encouraging experience.

 

The day commenced with a warm welcome address by the university by Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar who emphasized the significance of higher education and the university's commitment to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. She encouraged the new students to seize the opportunities and make the most of their time at The University of Faisalabad.

The event featured engaging and interactive sessions, where students received valuable insights into the academic programs, student services, and extracurricular opportunities available at the university. Faculty members also provided an overview of the curriculum, Updated HEC policies, and highlighted the research and academic resources.

As the event concluded, the students left with purpose and determination, ready to embrace their academic challenges and look forward to an enriching and enlightening study period at the University.

 

The International Breast Cancer Symposium-2023 organized by The University of Faisalabad witnessed the active participation of a number of expert speakers and competent presenters from all over the world. In the concluding session of this awe-inspiring symposium, attendees were awarded participation certificates by esteemed medical professionals.

The university presented Chief Guest Mr John Scott, Vice President Surgical RCPSG, with a shield as a token of appreciation for his worthy contribution to the event. The symposium culminated with interactive exchanges between field experts as they bid adieu.

 

Focusing on the recent updates in Breast Cancer management, this symposium was a fruitful attempt at acquainting the trainees with state-of-the-art approaches, and in providing them with a platform for conducive discussions with national and international professionals in the medical field.
