The University of Faisalabad organized a seminar aimed at shedding light on the prevailing business challenges in Pakistan, catering specifically to Management Sciences students. The event hosted esteemed guests from the corporate sector who shared valuable insights into the current economic landscape and the challenges faced by the business community.
The guest speaker of seminar Ms Beena Fawad, Head of Corporate Credit Risk at Bank Alfalah Ltd, who possesses over 25 years of experience in the banking sector. Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman BOG, Mr Qadir Shahid, Team Leader Corporate Banking, Mr Hassan Nazir, Area Manager, Corporate Credit Risk Bank Alfalah Ltd, and Ms Zahida Maqbool, Registrar graced the occasion with their presence.
The seminar aimed to create awareness about the current economic scenario in Pakistan and the challenges encountered by the business community. The event sought to empower students with insights from industry leaders, fostering a sense of responsibility and motivation to contribute positively to the country's progress.
In her keynote address, Ms Fawad provided students with a comprehensive understanding of risk management in Pakistan, addressing challenges such as high interest rates, reserved policies, and the escalating costs of essential commodities like gas and electricity. She underscored the importance of the youth comprehending the current economic scenario and actively contributing to overcoming challenges for the progress of Pakistan.
Mr Muhammad Haider Amin emphasized the critical role of the youth in understanding their responsibilities as individuals and contributing to the growth of Pakistan. Acknowledging Pakistan's demographic advantage, with approximately 65% of the population being youth, he urged graduates to bring progress to the market upon completing their degrees. Mr Haider also addressed the brain drain issue, calling for measures to overcome it.
Mr Qadir Shahid, and Mr Hassan Nazir, shared valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in the corporate sector. They highlighted the youth's pivotal role in addressing these issues and driving positive change.
At the end of the seminar, Chairman BOG and Registrar presented mementos to the esteemed guests, expressing gratitude for their valuable contributions.
