Seminar “Opportunities and Challenges in Biotechnology Entrepreneurship”

The Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology organized a seminar titled “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Biotechnology: Opportunities and Challenges for Emerging Researchers.” The session featured distinguished speakers Dr Aftab Ahmad, Founder of Chatta Bio Care, and Dr Kubra Mehmood, Founder and CEO of Plant Bio Labs, who shared valuable insights on biotechnology innovation, research commercialization, and entrepreneurship.

The interactive session provided students with practical knowledge and inspiration to explore biotechnology as a field of innovation and enterprise. Concluding the event, Dr Shaista Shafiq, Head of the Department, emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking in shaping future scientists and advancing the biotechnology sector.
