Seminar on “Unmasking Beauty: Society, Standards, and Myths”

In a bold step toward challenging societal norms and promoting self-acceptance, the Dermal Sciences Consortium of the Department of Dermal Sciences organized a thought-provoking seminar titled “Unmasking Beauty: Society, Standards, and Myths”. The session opened with inspiring motivational talks that questioned conventional beauty ideals, followed by a compelling skit and an insightful research presentation on colorism, shedding light on deeply rooted social perceptions.

Ms Sadia Sajjad, Coordinator of the Department of Dermal Sciences, graced the occasion as the guest and highly appreciated the students’ creative efforts and meaningful message. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation among participants, celebrating a powerful initiative that promoted awareness, confidence, and the redefinition of beauty beyond societal standards.
