The Department of International Relations conducted an insightful seminar titled “New World Order and Pakistan After Trump’s Elections,” featuring the distinguished speaker Mr. Amir Ayaz, Deputy Director of the United Nations Organization in Japan. The event drew significant interest from students and faculty, offering a compelling exploration of international relations, diplomacy, and sustainable development in the evolving global landscape.
Mr. Ayaz, drawing from his extensive experience with the United Nations, provided an in-depth analysis of global power dynamics, the shifting geopolitical order, and the implications for Pakistan in the post-Trump era. He emphasized the critical role of multilateral cooperation in addressing urgent global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and international security.
A key highlight of the session was Mr. Ayaz’s perspective on Japan’s contributions to peacekeeping, disaster relief, and humanitarian efforts, which served as a model for responsible global citizenship. He encouraged students to embrace a global mindset and seek opportunities where they can make meaningful contributions at both local and international levels.
The seminar also featured a dynamic Q&A segment, allowing students to interact directly with Mr. Ayaz. The discussion covered a range of topics including career opportunities in international organizations, the skills required for global governance, and the significance of international relations in today’s interconnected world.
