Good Health and Well-being
TUF Rehabilitation Society organized a community outreach program in the underserved area of Samana Pull, aimed at raising awareness about prenatal and postnatal care. The initiative was guided by the belief that every mother deserves access to quality healthcare and essential health education, regardless of her background or circumstances.
During the visit, the team engaged with women in the Samana Pull community through educational videos, open discussions, and the distribution of informative brochures. These sessions covered the importance of regular medical check-ups during pregnancy, maintaining a nutritious diet, and adopting healthy lifestyle habits. The campaign also focused on postnatal care, offering support and advice on maternal self-care, newborn care, breastfeeding practices, and emotional well-being after childbirth.
To further support the physical health of the women, iron and folic acid supplements were distributed, helping to prevent anemia and promote healthier pregnancies and recoveries. The initiative provided both practical resources and critical health information to empower women throughout their maternal journey.
This outreach effort directly supports several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. By engaging with women in underserved communities and sharing vital knowledge, the Rehabilitation Society is contributing to a more informed, healthier, and equitable society.
