The Department of Biotechnology at The University of Faisalabad (TUF) hosted a vibrant Qiraat Competition on March 19th, 2024. This event, designed to celebrate the beauty of Qur’anic recitation, attracted students from diverse disciplines eager to showcase their talent and devotion to the art of reciting the Holy Qur’an.
The competition, graced by the presence of esteemed judges Ms Saffia Jaffar from the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, and the renowned Naat Khawan, Ms Ayesha Batool, showcased a remarkable display of proficiency and reverence for the sacred text.
After a closely contested competition, Hamna Tanveer, representing the School of Nursing, emerged as the deserving winner, captivating the audience with her soulful rendition. Hafiza Ruhma, from the Department of Medical Lab Sciences, secured 2nd position with her captivating recitation, while Affat Ahsan, representing the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, achieved the honorable 3rd position.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr Nisar Ahmad, Additional Registrar, as the esteemed guest of honor. Mr Ahmad, with his words of encouragement and appreciation, added to the significance of the occasion. He also took the opportunity to distribute prizes and certificates among the position holders and participants, encouraging them to continue their pursuit of excellence.
The Qiraat Competition not only provided a platform for students to showcase their talents but also served as a reminder of the importance of spiritual expression and devotion.
