Pre-Conference Workshops for ICDS-2024: Advancing Knowledge in Dermal and Healthcare Sciences

The Department of Dermatology and the Society for Skin Care organized a series of pre-conference workshops as part of the 4th International Conference on Dermal Sciences (ICDS-2024). These workshops covered various areas in dermal and healthcare sciences, providing invaluable learning opportunities for students and professionals.

Key workshops included "Wound Care 101: Basics and Beyond," led by Dr Hamza, Debra Pakistan and Medical Officer ICU & CCU at Mujahid Heart Center, focusing on wound management techniques. Dr Rizwana Mustafa, Founder of Scientific Pakistan, facilitated the "AI as a Toolkit for Research Writing" workshop, empowering participants to enhance research writing using AI tools. Dr Shumaila Raja led the "PRP (Platelet rich plasma) Masterclass," where participants learned the applications of Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy in medical practices.

Another critical session on "Neuropathic Foot Management" was conducted by Dr Salman Azhar and co-facilitators from the Dermatology Department, enhancing skills in managing neuropathic foot conditions.

Araikay Khan Afridi, a 7th-semester Dermatology student, led a unique workshop on "Crafting Sustainable Hair Conditioner Bars", promoting eco-friendly personal care solutions.

Workshops on cutting-edge aesthetic treatments, including "HIFU: Ultra-Lifting Treatments" and "RF Microneedling: Advanced Techniques in Skin Rejuvenation," were led by Dr Ridda Ather, a UK board-certified aesthetic physician, providing participants with advanced knowledge of these non-invasive skin treatments.

These workshops attracted a diverse audience, including students and professionals from the fields of Dermal Technology, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Medicine, contributing to the professional development of healthcare providers and promoting innovative practices in dermal sciences.
