The Environmental Society and the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology organized a Plantation Drive on 9 June 2026 at Abdul Qadeer Ground, behind the benches at TUF Saleem Campus, to commemorate World Environment Day 2026.
The activity was conducted under the supervision of Ms Mahrukh, Advisor of the Environmental Society. A total of six Cape Jasmine (Chandna) plants were planted during the drive with the active participation of society members and faculty members. Overall, nine participants, including five society members and four faculty members, took part in the initiative.
The primary objective of the plantation drive was to promote environmental awareness and encourage tree plantation on campus. The initiative aimed to enhance the university's green environment, improve air quality, support biodiversity, and inspire students and faculty members to actively contribute to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
Through this activity, the Environmental Society reaffirmed its commitment to fostering environmental responsibility and promoting a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future for the university community.
