One Day Seminar on Rights Information

One day seminar on "Right to Information under Article 19-A of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan" was organized on 12 January 2023 by the Department of Law at Amin Campus. The Chief Information Commissioner Punjab, Mr. Mahboob Qadir Shah was the guest speaker in this important seminar. Professors from GC and Agricultural Universities, lawyers from Faisalabad Bar Association and students from Law and Management studies departments participated in the seminar.

Mr. Sami Ur Rahman, Head, Department of Law welcomed all the distinguished guests. The chief guest, Mr. Mahboob Qadir Shah, talked about the right to information from the perspective of the Constitution and shed detailed light on the pros and cons of "the Punjab Transperancy & Right to Information Act 2013". His talk was followed by some very important and pertinent questions from the students, which undoubtedly increased the importance of the seminar. The speaker appreciated the standard of the questions being asked. His talk was followed by brief remarks from Dr. Muhammad Amir Manj, Principal Law College, GC University Faisalabad, where he appreciated the efforts of the university for organizing such important seminars.

The worhty Chairman, Board of Governers, Mian Muhammad Haider Amin, thanked all the guests from Bar and academia for gracing the occasion and assured the students that he will facilitate the law department for all such initiatives to enhace the skills and capacities of the students of TUF. At the end, he also presented a momento to the chief guest, Mr. Mahboob Qadir Shah.
