Ms Sumayya Tariq, Education Adviser, US Department of State Mission visits

Ms Sumayya Tariq, Education Adviser, US Department of State Mission Pakistan visited The University of Faisalabad on October 26, 2022. The visit aimed to promote and enhance the academic relationship between the US and Pakistani institutes; professional development opportunities for scholars and faculty. Mr Muhammad Haider Amin Chairman BOG, Ms Zahida Maqbool Additional Registrar, Heads of Departments and other faculty were present in the meeting with her. Ms Zahida Maqbool gave a presentation about the university and other welfare projects of Madina Foundation. Ms Sumayya also did an interaction & orientation session with students in which she highlighted the key benefits of US scholarships and guided them through the process and procedures in detail.

 

While sharing her views, she said teachers should encourage their students to apply for US scholarships. ‘As Faisalabad has its industrial and business importance, it is a good opportunity for students to get scholarships to serve their home town and give economic growth to the country, she further added.

Ms Sumayya visited the campus, Madina teaching hospital medical facilities, and explored women's empowerment projects of TUF i.e Rewayat Restaurant, Stationery shop, Gymnasium and Kids Care.
