Khas Textile Design Competition

Department of Design and Interiors organized a Textile Design Competition in collaboration of well recognized textile brand Khas on 8th December 2023 to engage the students in a vigorous creative exercise of producing aesthetically appealing visual textile designs for their upcoming lawn collection. Students were free to choose any seasonal theme according to their choice and they had to create diverse creative textile designs.

Khas store provided a design brief in a small seminar that was conducted by the Creative Director of Khas Store for students to assist them in aligning their concepts. They engaged the students in creating design at the spot on a small scale serving as the creative practice in order to make them aware of the product demands. Each student of the department actively participated in the competition and presented a great show of their creativity.

The scope of the work included, Concept and design development, Sketches, Mood boards and final pattern board.

• The work was provided to Khas in soft copy/PDF
• The competition was estimated to be completed in approximately 3 weeks.
• Each student submitted one entry in the required template & format.
• The results have been scheduled to be announced on 26th February, 2023 in the presence of Khas creative team.
