An international delegation from Cattolica University, Italy and Yeditepe University, Turkiye just wrapped up a productive visit to TUF on 22 August 2024, marking a significant milestone in the journey toward global academic partnerships. The visit highlighted the commitment of all institutions involved to fostering international collaboration in education and research.
The delegation included Ms Ilaria Maria Bossi, Head Manager, International Marketing and Recruitment and Mr Gianluca Samsa, Associate Director Education Abroad from Cattolica University, Italy; and Ms Merve Muge SENGUL BEKTAS, a specialist from International Exchange Office and Ms Ozge Nur OZCELIK, Assistant Specialist from Yeditepe University, Turkiye.
During their visit, the delegation engaged in an interactive session with Ms Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, TUF, alongside Prof Dr Majid Hussain, Dean Faculty of Information Technology, Prof Dr Matloob Ahmed, Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Prof Dr Saba Tariq, Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prof Dr Tahira Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences, Dr Amna Javed, Head International Linkages, Ms Afsheen Javaid, Head Department of Design & Interiors and other faculty members. The discussions centered on exploring potential collaborations that align with the strategic objectives of each department at TUF.
Key topics included joint academic programs, research projects, faculty and student exchange opportunities, and other initiatives that can enhance the educational experiences and global competencies of students at all three universities. The session was a platform for exchanging ideas and identifying areas of mutual interest that could pave the way for future partnerships.
The delegation’s visit concluded with a shared vision of creating impactful international collaborations that will not only benefit the academic community but also contribute to the broader goal of fostering global education and research excellence.
