Honoring Her Journey: HAVVA'26 Celebrates Women’s Excellence Through Creativity and Leadership

The atmosphere at TUF came alive on the opening day of HAVVA 2026, as the event commenced with remarkable energy and enthusiasm. Guided by the evocative theme “Honoring Her Journey,” the first day of this three-day initiative—organized under the vision of the Center of Collective Activities (CCA)—set a powerful tone, transforming the campus into a vibrant platform celebrating female excellence, creativity, and leadership.

Qiraat & Naat Competitions

Soul-stirring recitations marked the spirit of HAVVA-26, where participants demonstrated their excellence in Qiraat and Naat. The Qiraat competition was evaluated by a distinguished panel comprising Ms Qaria Mumtaz Khanum, Vice Principal at Mustafai College for Women, and Ms Safia Jaffar, Senior Lecturer and Incharge Religious Society at TUF.  

The Naat competition was judged by Ms Shazia Saleem Naat Khan, a renowned Naat Khwan affiliated with Naat Academy Faisalabad, and Ms Muneeba Shazadi, a distinguished Naat khawan associated with Jamia Noria Rizvia Faisalabad.

In the results, Hafsa Bibi from the Department of Dermal Sciences secured 1st position in the Naat competition, while Hafiza Amina Batool from the Department of Computer Sciences achieved 1st position in the Qiraat competition. 

The Calligraphy & Linocut Art 

The Live Calligraphy Competition showcased artistic precision and spiritual depth, judged by renowned artist Sir Ejaz Yousafi, a distinguished visual artist and calligrapher with over a decade of experience in portraiture, landscape, and Arabic calligraphy.

The achievements of the winners truly embodied the essence of calligraphy—balance, beauty, and dedication—serving as an inspiration for fellow participants.    
 

Performing Arts 

The Rehabilitation Society organized the Performing Arts segment of HAVVA 2026.

The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase creativity, confidence, and social awareness through theatre, monologues, and live performances. Centered on themes of women’s empowerment, identity, resilience, and emotional expression, the program highlighted the role of performing arts in addressing societal challenges and encouraging meaningful dialogue.

The event featured two major performances: Theatre (Drama) – “Beyond the Labels” and Monologue Competition – Soch Kahani: "If I Could Speak Freely.”  Teams from seven different departments participated and presented performances in both categories, showcasing wide interdepartmental engagement and collaboration. Student performers delivered impactful presentations exploring issues such as gender stereotypes, trauma, identity struggles, and emotional healing. A heartfelt tribute to Palestinian women was among the most memorable moments of the event, reflecting solidarity and admiration for their courage and perseverance.

The occasion was honored by the presence of Prof. Salima Hashmi as Chief Judge, whose inspiring remarks emphasized the importance of storytelling, artistic freedom, and creative expression as powerful tools for social awareness and empowerment. Chief Guest Mrs Khadija Hanif and Guest of Honour Mrs Maryam Rasheed also appreciated the efforts of the participants and organizers for presenting thoughtful and engaging performances.

Adding a lighter touch to the occasion, Mubashar Abbas entertained the audience with an engaging stand-up comedy performance, bringing energy and joy to the concluding segment of the program.

In the competition results, Farwa and Team from the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences secured 1st Position in Theatre (Drama) for their emotionally compelling and socially impactful performance. In the Monologue category, Ali Zahra from the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences achieved 1st Position for a captivating solo performance that deeply resonated with both the judges and audience.

The HAVVA 2026 Performing Arts segment concluded with souvenir presentations to the guests, followed by a group photograph symbolizing unity, creativity, and a shared commitment toward an inclusive and empowered society. The event successfully reinforced the significance of performing arts as a medium for advocacy, awareness, and positive social transformation.

Panel Discussion: Voices of Leadership

Moving far beyond traditional dialogue, this segment served as a high-impact stage where industry leaders and activists united to ignite a transformative conversation on human rights, entrepreneurship, and the digital frontier. Guided by the evocative theme "Honoring her Journey," the session evolved into a rallying cry for self-actualization, challenging every woman to dismantle societal barriers and reclaim the power of her own story.   
The discussion was steered by an elite group of visionaries, each representing a vital pillar of modern female leadership: 

•    Barrister Dr Fozia Naseem: A multifaceted legal powerhouse, Research Consultant, and Human Rights Activist who provided profound insights into legal empowerment and the strategic navigation of professional careers.
•    Amaima Azeem Sheikh: A prominent Political Activist and Information Secretary (PPP Faisalabad), who addressed the critical necessity of women’s engagement in civic leadership and policy-making.
•    Sana Umer: A visionary Digital Marketing Strategist and CEO of Neoteric Media, who decoded the complexities of personal branding and the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
•    Ayesha Zubair: A celebrated Digital Creator who shared her journey of leveraging modern social platforms to build an authentic and impactful global voice.
•    Saleha Adnan: A successful Entrepreneur and the creative force behind the brand "Peace Flower," who offered practical wisdom and inspiration for building sustainable businesses from the ground up.
The session concluded as an intellectual triumph, leaving the audience with a definitive roadmap for resilience and excellence. This panel did more than just share information; it solidified HAVVA 2026 as a premier platform for cultivating the next generation of global leaders. 

Culinary Arts & Techniques by Masterchef

The Culinary Arts segment at HAVVA 2026, organized by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, emerged as a dynamic showcase of skill, creativity, and professional excellence. Led by renowned experts including Chef Faisal Gujjar, Chef Ali Raza, MasterChef Muhammad Haseeb Zahid, and Mr Qasim Raza, Manager Hospitality at TUF Institute of Hospitality & Gastronomy, the segment combined a live competition with the workshop “Alchemy of Flavors.” Participants demonstrated culinary expertise through innovative dishes, working under strict time constraints while presenting their work before a panel of experts.  

Aspiring Female Diplomats Lead at HAWA MUN

This dynamic segment served as the heartbeat of the HAVVA 2026 event, providing a prestigious stage for young women to amplify their voices and sharpen their diplomatic prowess. By stepping into the shoes of global policymakers, participants tackled high-stakes issues—from navigating Middle Eastern security and addressing gender-based violence to proposing vital economic reforms for Pakistan—demonstrating that the future of leadership is not just bright, but bold. Through every rigorous debate and resolution drafted, the delegates did more than simulate international relations; they honored the strength, resilience, and potential of women everywhere, proving themselves ready to lead, inspire, and shape the world of tomorrow.

Visionaries and Victors Shine at HAVVA Enterprise

In a powerful convergence of creativity and commerce, HAVVA Enterprise 2026 celebrated the relentless spirit of young female entrepreneurs under the inspiring theme, "Honoring Her Journey: She Builds, She Leads." Organized by the National Business School (NBS) and the Entrepreneurship Society at The University of Faisalabad, this "Shark Tank" style business pitch competition became a centerpiece of the HAVVA festivities, showcasing the transformative power of female-led innovation.
The Grand Finale was graced by a distinguished panel of industry experts who provided invaluable mentorship to the participants:

•    Ms Mamoona Imran: Vice President of the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI), representing the pinnacle of local female corporate leadership.
•    Ms Mehak Shahid: CEO of High Life Social (HLS), bringing a modern entrepreneurial perspective to the judging table.
•    Mr Habib Ur Rehman: Director of Audit & Taxation at A. Sattar and Co, offering critical financial and strategic feedback.
The competition reached a thrilling climax as the "Teeth Whitening LED Device & Kit" was crowned the overall winner. The project captivated the panel with its sharp market insight, practical application, and a high-impact pitch that embodied the event’s mission to turn visionary ideas into viable business ventures.  
Spring Glam (Makeup Segment): This segment, enriched by the presence of Warda Zaidi (Fashion Photographer) and Saheefa Aslam (Fashion Designer), highlighted modern makeup techniques, blending elegance with contemporary trends while reflecting individuality and confidence.  
Gaming DEN: Moving beyond traditional boundaries, students participated in competitive and recreational gaming, mastering digital interfaces and strategic play in a dedicated tech-friendly environment.
Photo Mania: This segment involved students capturing live moments of the event, focusing on composition and lighting to tell the story of the day through their unique creative lenses.
Homemade Jewelry Making: Students engaged in hands-on craftsmanship, learning the delicate art of designing and assembling wearable pieces, which emphasized both artistic detail and the potential for small-scale entrepreneurship.  

 

Day 2 Highlights:

Jashn-e-Baharan Cultural Showcase
Day 2 featured a vibrant cultural exhibition with provincial and international booths representing Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK, Kashmir, Gilgit, and global cultures including Egypt and Turkey—creating a rich heritage experience on campus.

Identity Walk
The Identity Walk brought history to life as students portrayed iconic female figures through detailed costumes and storytelling, celebrating resilience, legacy, and empowerment.

Live Clay Portray
Led by Ms Kaynat Fatima, this segment showcased the art of sculpture, transforming clay into expressive forms and symbolizing strength, creativity, and the evolving journey of women.

A Platform for Empowerment
Under the leadership of Dr Zahida Maqbool, HAVVA 2026 continues to stand as a flagship initiative of TUF, empowering women through creativity, intellect, and leadership while inspiring the next generation to lead with confidence.

 

Day 3 Highlights & MUN Results

The final day of HAVVA 2026 concluded with the announcement of Model United Nations (MUN) results, recognizing outstanding delegates across all committees for their exceptional diplomacy, critical thinking, and leadership.

In the UN Women (UNW) committee, Germany secured Best Delegate (BD), followed by South Africa as Outstanding Delegate (OD). Honorable Mentions (HM) were awarded to United Kingdom and Russia, while Special Mentions (SM) went to Pakistan and Norway.  

In the UN Security Council (UNSC), Iran earned Best Delegate (BD), and China received Outstanding Delegate (OD). Honorable Mentions (HM) were awarded to USA and Panama, while Special Mentions (SM) were given to Italy and UAE. 

In the Pakistan National Assembly (PNA), Shahbaz Sharif was declared Best Delegate (BD), with Imran Khan as Outstanding Delegate (OD). Honorable Mentions (HM) were awarded to Asad Umar and Ali Muhammad Khan, while Special Mentions (SM) went to Maryam Nawaz and Mehmood Khan. 

Jashn-e-Baharan Winners at HAVVA Closing Ceremony

At the concluding ceremony of HAVVA’26, the positions for the cultural segments were formally announced, recognizing outstanding creativity and representation. Cash prizes were awarded to the winners, with the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, in collaboration with the Department of Dental Sciences, representing KPK culture, securing 1st position. The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, representing Egyptian culture, achieved 2nd position, while the Department of Optometry, representing Balochi culture, earned 3rd position. 

For the Identity Walk segment, Rohma Abid from the Doctor of Physiotherapy program secured the winning position with her portrayal of Noor Jahan.  

These segments highlighted the diversity and cultural expression showcased throughout the event.    
Grand Mushaira Evening 
The event concluded on a culturally enriching note with a Mushaira held at Abdul Qadeer Ground. Graced by renowned poets Maqsood Wafa, Nusrat Siddiqi, Tehzeeb Hafi, Tajdeed Qaisar, Nimra Ali, Anfal Rafiq, Aman Shehzadi, Zaib un Nisa Wasiq and Mudasaar Ababs Khan, the evening celebrated the power of poetry and literary expression. The session brought together creativity, emotion, and cultural heritage, providing a memorable and soulful closing to HAVVA 2026.
