Glowing Futures: A Showcase of Students’ Talent at TUF Skincare Expo 2024

TUF Skincare Expo 2024, organized by the Department of Dermatology and the Society for Skin Care on February 29, 2024, aimed to showcase the talents of students. The event provided a platform for students to exhibit their skincare products and services, with around 15 entrepreneurs and various brands setting up booths to display skincare, cosmetic products, perfumes, and more.

Chief guests, including Dr Badie Idris, Consultant Surgeon, CEO of Masa Health Club, and Medical Director of London Aesthetics and Rejuvenation Centre, Dr Nazia Ehsan, Gynecologist, Faisalabad Medical University, Dr Ghulam Abbas and Dr Shahid Shah from GC University Faisalabad, Prof Dr Aamir Choudhry Principal UMDC, and Prof Dr Tanzeela Khalid, HOD Dermatology, graced the occasion. Dr Idris commended the students for their passionate work, highlighting that the quality of their products surpassed many local options in the market.

 

He encouraged the students to confidently create their entities in the form of products and brands. The participating exhibitors, industry professionals, and distinguished guests witnessed the launch of various skincare product brands by students, including serums, creams, mists, fragrances, soaps, scented candles, moisturizers, and organic makeup products. Some notable brand names included Dampy Damp, Homemade with Love, Fragrance Fiesta, Curify - By - KY, Solace Beige -flag, Twich Berry, Looks by Biaa, Aleto Body Lab, Nezthetics, showstopper and The Candle Light 99.

 

In addition to skincare products, students showcased food products beneficial for maintaining healthy skin, emphasizing the link between nutrition and skincare. The expo also hosted esteemed organizations, clinics, aesthetic equipment vendors, and pharmaceutical companies, providing insights into the latest advancements in skincare treatments, technologies, and products.

 

 

The event featured an engaging competition among talented formulators, with a judging panel evaluating formulations based on creativity, innovation, and quality. Winners were announced and recognized for their outstanding contributions. Showstopper secured first position, Aleto Body; Lab was second and Curify by KY got third position. The expo not only provided a platform for students but also offered an opportunity for participants to network, exchange ideas, and connect with industry professionals. Attendees explored and interacted with various skincare products, mineral make-ups, perfumes, and services, while aesthetic vendors presented demonstrations and offerings, making the Skincare Expo 2024 a comprehensive and enriching experience for all involved.
