Certificate Distribution Ceremony Celebrates Empowerment of Visually Impaired Students in Computer Skills

The Centre of Collective Activity (CCA) at The University of Faisalabad (TUF) held a heartwarming Certificate Distribution Ceremony to recognize the achievements of visually impaired students who successfully completed a 2-month free course on "Basic Computer Skills." The course, organized in collaboration with the Pakistan Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF), aimed to empower visually impaired individuals with essential digital skills and open new avenues of learning and growth.

Over June and July 2023, students from diverse regions across Pakistan enthusiastically participated in the program. The course was taught by Ms Rida, an instructor from PATF, who skillfully guided the students through the intricacies of computer literacy. The event, held on August 08, 2023, celebrated the dedication and hard work of these exceptional learners.

Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar of TUF, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In her address, she emphasized the immense value of education and skills development for visually impaired individuals. She highlighted the role of TUF in promoting inclusivity and providing a platform for students to enhance their capabilities.

During the ceremony, Ms Rida thanked the TUF administration for their unwavering support in making the course possible. She highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering equal opportunities for individuals with visual impairments, enabling them to participate actively in the digital age.

 

 

This collaborative effort between TUF and PATF is a testament to the power of partnerships in driving positive change. By equipping visually impaired students with foundational computer skills, this initiative paves the way for greater accessibility, independence, and employability.
