Center of Collective Activities organized a one-day awareness seminar on Human Trafficking in Pakistan – ‘The Trap’ – for students. The seminar aimed to educate students about the growing issue of human trafficking, its causes, consequences, and preventive measures. Mr Hashim Raza, Deputy Director FIA, highlighted the role of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in controlling human trafficking.
He shared the key achievements of the FIA, discussed why people resort to illegal means for migration, and presented relevant statistics to help students understand the seriousness of the issue. Dr Jafar Hassan, District Member Anti-Human Trafficking, Region Faisalabad, guided the students by sharing real-life cases and explaining the severe consequences faced by victims, particularly students who fall prey to illegal practices.
Prof Dr Samee-ur-Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Law, welcomed the honorable guests and thanked them for sharing their valuable knowledge and guidance. He emphasized the importance of awareness among students to protect themselves from human trafficking.
