Caring for the Community, One Kit at a Time!

In a heartfelt display of compassion and responsibility, students from the 6th semester of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at TUF undertook a meaningful community outreach initiative aimed at promoting health and safety among underprivileged sectors of society.

As part of their mission, the students distributed hygiene and first aid kits to laborers at the Samana Pull construction site and a nearby factory area in Faisalabad, ensuring that these hardworking individuals have access to basic health and safety essentials. The kits, thoughtfully prepared by the students, included items necessary for everyday well-being and emergency care, promoting not just physical health, but also dignity and care.

The students didn’t stop there. They extended their efforts to Govt Boys High School, Sargodha Road, where they conducted an interactive health and safety awareness session for students and staff. These sessions focused on the importance of hygiene, basic first aid, and personal safety, aiming to empower young minds with knowledge that promotes lifelong wellness.

This outreach initiative reflects the department’s unwavering commitment to community service, contributes meaningfully to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
