Bridging Boundaries, Building Partnerships: TUF Hosted International Student Convention

The University of Faisalabad proudly welcomed over 200 international students for the International Student Delegation event, promoting global collaboration, knowledge exchange, and cultural immersion.

Prof Dr Aman Ullah Malik, Rector, TUF, extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the international students, emphasizing the university’s commitment to providing a platform for learning, networking, and unity among diverse communities.   

The event featured a highly engaging panel discussion, skillfully moderated by Prof Dr Majid Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Information Technology. Technical Sessions provided an engaging platform for discussion and learning: “Empowering Students with AI: Tools for Success in the Digital Age” by Dr Muhammad Arif, General Manager Research & Development, Chenab Engineering Works & Foundries Pvt Ltd, discussed AI-driven solutions to enhance students' learning and career prospects. Unwind & Thrive: Effective Stress Management for Students by Mr Muhammad Hanan Iftikhar, Head, TUF International Programs, shared practical strategies for managing stress and maintaining mental well-being in academic life. Entrepreneurship in the AI Era: Challenges & Opportunities by Mr Sharjeel Yousaf, National Business School, TUF, explored the dynamic intersection of AI and business, highlighting opportunities for young entrepreneurs.  

Students actively participated in an inspiring tree plantation ceremony, reinforcing their commitment to environmental sustainability.

The event concluded with an enchanting Soiree Night, where international students experienced the mystical rhythms of Sufi performers, creating a soulful atmosphere of unity and cultural appreciation. The Soiree Night was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman, Board of Governors, TUF; Dr Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, TUF; Altayev Daniyar, Representative of the Kazakhstan International Chamber of Commerce, along with Dr Ahmed Ali Sarohi, Director General of the Africa Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, and Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, General Manager of Atlas Honda Limited, were among the distinguished guests at the event. The academic leadership included Prof Ishtiaq A. Rajwana, Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Multan; Dr Muhammad Mujahid, Rector of PAF-IAST Haripur; Prof Dr Rauf Azam, Vice Chancellor of Government College University, Faisalabad; and Dr Kanwal Ameen, Vice Chancellor of Government College Women University, Faisalabad. Additionally, Mr Murtaza Noor, Executive Director of the Association of Private Sector Universities, along with deans from various universities, who joined international students. 

The International Student Convention Visit at TUF successfully united diverse perspectives, encouraging meaningful discussions on education, technology, and well-being while celebrating the richness of global cultures.
