Bipolar Awareness Seminar: Say No to Mental Illness

The Department of Psychology organized a thought-provoking Seminar on Bipolar Awareness to foster understanding of bipolar disorder and promote mental well-being among students. The seminar featured Ms Samreen Afzal, Principal Clinical Psychologist, as the chief guest, who delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of depressive and manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder. Her session offered valuable perspectives on the importance of early intervention and professional support.

Ms Mehreen Arshad, Clinical Psychologist and PGD/SLT, served as the guest speaker. She emphasized the urgent need to break the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraged open dialogue to promote emotional resilience within communities. The event also included an interactive role-play activity and the engaging segment titled “Say No to Mental Illness”, which offered students a platform for experiential learning and reinforced key concepts through participation.
