The program is designed to achieve the following objectives on completion of the degree:
• To provide evidence based Physical Therapy education for primary care and team management
• To assess, examine, evaluate, monitor and record patient progress related to care plan the patients with complex musculoskeletal case presentations independently.
• To support patients in their decisions regarding surgery and develop treatment plan independently apply different mobilization and manipulation techniques.
• Specialized musculoskeletal physical therapist can assess patients for MSK conditions, set a plan of action with the patient in conjunction with their realistic expectations and goals thus provide a rehabilitation programme for a specified referred condition. They able for self-management principles /processes to help reduce recurrence of symptoms and escalate to MSK expert services for further management as required if patient not improving.
• They can work in rehab programs more effectively in OPD’s and IPD, sports injuries clinic, pain management’s clinics.
