The University of Faisalabad is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute for Asian and African Studies, Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. Prof Dr Sarah Holz from Humboldt University and Ms Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, TUF signed the MOU that formalizes a strategic partnership. This agreement sets forth the bases and criteria under which both universities will take joint academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation actions for the improvement of their educative functions.
A session was also organized, by the National Business School, featuring Dr Sarah Holz, titled “Implementation of Quality Teaching and Research Protocols as per European Standards,”. The session was honored by the participation of Ms Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, TUF, Prof Dr Muhammad Ashfaq, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Prof Dr Majid Hussain, Dean Faculty of Information Technology, Dr Muhammad Farooq Akhtar, Head, National Business School, Ms Safa Iftikhar, Coordinator, National Business School, and the Heads of other Departments.
Prof Dr Ashfaq formally introduced the distinguished guests and presented a warm welcome note, the session was dedicated to discussing the implementation of European standards in quality education and research protocols. Dr Sarah Holz shared her extensive expertise on the integration of European standards in academic teaching and research, emphasizing the importance of adaptability and innovation in educational practices.
An engaging Q&A session allowed for in-depth discussions on research protocol strategies. Dr Sarah Holz shared her insights with TUF faculty, on optimizing research methodologies, enhancing academic outcomes, and fostering innovation in their respective fields. During her visit, Dr Sarah Holz toured various departments of the University including the library, where she engaged with faculty, discussing research practices and academic resources. As part of TUF's commitment to environmental sustainability, Dr Holz also participated in the “TUF Go Green Initiative’ by planting a sapling in the university lawn, symbolizing a growing partnership and shared responsibility toward a greener future. The partnership between TUF, and the Institute for Asian and African Studies is expected to yield significant benefits in terms of academic innovation, research excellence, and global educational exchange.
