ROLE AND SCOPE

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of fundamental principles, models, and theories that form the basis of public health practices and apply this knowledge to address current and emerging health challenges.
  • Assess the relevance and applicability of diverse public health theories and approaches to specific health contexts, integrating their prior health professional backgrounds for effective problem-solving.
  • Utilize epidemiological methods and bio statistical techniques to analyze complex health data, interpret trends, and make evidence-based decisions to improve public health outcomes.
  • Design and conduct research studies in public health, including formulating research questions, selecting appropriate methodologies, and interpreting and communicating research findings effectively.
  • Design comprehensive health promotion strategies that consider cultural, social, and behavioral factors, demonstrating the ability to address the unique health needs of the diverse communities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of health promotion and disease control strategies through rigorous assessment methods, adapting strategies as needed to achieve desired public health outcomes.
  • Gap the bridge between theory and practice by undergoing through practical field experiences and demonstrating the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world public health challenges.
