Prof Dr Tanzeela Khalid, Dean, Clinical Research at The University of Faisalabad, is a distinguished dermatologist and medical educationist. She earned her MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College, FCPS in Dermatology from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), and holds a Doctorate in Medical Education from the University of Ambrosiana, Italy.
Dr Tanzeela joined as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology in 2006 and played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Dermal Sciences at Madinah Teaching Hospital. Through her dedication and leadership, the department successfully secured CPSP accreditation for FCPS and MCPS training programs, marking a significant milestone in its academic and clinical development. As a recognized supervisor and examiner for CPSP, she has contributed extensively to postgraduate dermatology education in Pakistan.
Dr Tanzeela is the Founding Director of the Department of Medical Education, leading transformative initiatives in curriculum development, assessment, and faculty capacity building. She has authored over 20 research publications and contributed a book chapter to the Routledge Handbook of Colorism.
Her research interests include clinical dermatology, medical and allied health education, and academic leadership. She is the Founding Chairperson of the International Conference on Dermal Sciences, fostering global collaboration and innovation in dermatological research and practice.
