Prof Dr Saba Tariq is an internationally recognised academic leader, clinical pharmacologist, and research scholar with a distinguished career in pharmaceutical and medical sciences. Currently serving as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, she brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, research excellence, educational innovation, and strategic leadership.
With over 14 years of academic leadership, Dr Saba has successfully designed and reformed curricula, introduced evidence-based and student-centred teaching models, and mentored countless undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil, and PhD scholars who are now excelling worldwide. She is widely respected for her ability to build high-performing academic teams, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and drive institutional growth.
A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), she is among the very few Pakistani female academicians to hold this prestigious global recognition in pedagogy. She currently leads major initiatives at the University of Birmingham, UK, where she also serves as MBChB Pharmacology Theme Lead.
She has secured multiple competitive international research grants from organisations such as Johns Hopkins University, ASCPT (USA), HEC, and King Salman Centre (Saudi Arabia). Her H-index and citation record reflect her global influence in women’s health, pharmacology, osteoporosis, AI-driven diagnostics, and patient decision-making.
