Prof Dr Riaz Majeed is a distinguished scholar, educator, and literary figure with over six decades of experience in teaching, research, and creative writing. Renowned nationally and internationally for his contributions to Urdu and Punjabi literature, he has authored more than 50 books, many of which have received prestigious awards. He holds a PhD in Urdu from the University of the Punjab and has served in key academic and administrative positions, including Professor, Head of Department, and Principal at leading institutions. He has also contributed significantly to curriculum development, research supervision at MA, MPhil, and PhD levels, and academic publishing. Dr Riaz has actively participated in international conferences and delivered lectures across various countries, including the UK, Poland, China, Turkey, and India. In addition to academia, he has been deeply involved in literary, cultural, and media activities, including radio, television, and film.
