Prof Dr Majid Hussain is serving as Dean, Faculty of Information Technology and Professor of Computer Science at Department of Computer Sciences at The University of Faisalabad. He has a rich academic experience of over 22 years in the top-ranking universities of the region, including Comsats, UET Lahore, and GC Faisalabad. He has been chairperson of Computer Science Department at Comsats and GC University Faisalabad. Currently, he is leading the research groups of Blockchain and Biomedical diagnostics at TUF. He has led the research group of Mobile Communications and Pervasive Computing in Computer Science Department, CUI Sahiwal. He has supervised more than 50 thesis (MS/PhD) in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, UAVs, Visual Sensor Networks/Image Processing, and Wireless Sensor Networks, and published his work in well-reputed international Journals. He has organized a number of conferences/summits as General Chair and been a part of many others as Co-General Chair, Session/Co-Session Chair, Technical Co-Chair, Keynote/Invited Speaker, and has published a good number of research articles in national and international conferences. He has won around 10 national and international research projects with considerable funding volume. He has acquired multiple international/national trainings and has acquired senior-level certifications of CISCO, Huawei, etc. He has earned multiple senior management-level national and international Professional trainings as well. As a Senior Member of IEEE, he has hosted many summits, workshops, seminars, and training for faculty and research students. His research interests include Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Visual Sensor Networks, and Federated Learning, etc.
