The University of Faisalabad Hosts Renowned Urdu Scholar from Japan

The Department of Urdu had the privilege of hosting an inspiring event to welcome Professor Dr Marghoob Hussain Tahir, a distinguished Urdu scholar from the Department of Urdu, The University of Osaka, Japan. During his visit, Professor Dr Marghoob Hussain Tahir delivered an enlightening talk on the promotion and teaching of Urdu in Japan, sharing valuable insights into the growing global interest in Urdu literature and language.

He praised the establishment of the Department of Urdu at The University of Faisalabad, describing it as a promising initiative with a bright and impactful future in advancing Urdu studies. The event was presided over by Dr Riaz Majeed and graced by several eminent guests, including Dr Tariq Hashmi and Dr Maimoona Subhani from Government College University, Faisalabad; Professor Tahir Siddiqui, Director at Kanzul Madaris University; Khalid Mahmood (China); Dr Mehmood Mursal; Dr Rubina Yasmin; Dr Imran Zafar; Dr Mukhtar Hur; Mubashara Faryad; and Asjad Sajid.
